When I originally wrote this, it was Wednesday night before our big launch on Thursday morning, July 11th. It was 9:30pm and my house still smelled like the smoke from the flames of the meatballs I burned earlier that day when I thought I typed in 1 minute on the microwave, but accidentally typed in 10 minutes instead.
I was in the middle of texting with my group of best friends, 3 of them moms of toddlers who feel trapped in their house during this season of life and the conversation was going as follows:
“Would it be bad if I take out all the batteries of her toys and tell her they are broken? I just can't anymore!”
“I can’t watch frozen for the millionth time.”
“Should I buy him vitamins to make up for the fact he has only eaten Mac and Cheese this week? I’m too tired, and I give up.”
“Should I be concerned she thinks it’s okay to pee in the yard like (dog’s name)? I’ll spare you guys the video.”
Just that morning, one of our customers had told me she was basically going through an existential crisis. She’ll be an empty nester in a few short years and she told me she had started to feel the tension of seemingly lacking a personal purpose now that her kids no longer “need” her. She stared at me with what felt like empty eyes and I felt the fear of change in her shaking voice.
Life. It’s not easy. But do you ever feel like everyone else is handling it just a *wee* bit better than you?
That next morning, I turned 34. And if I learned anything during my year of "33," it was this: every woman is fighting a daily battle. We’re all feeling the tension of wanting to live a more joyful + purpose life, while simultaneously wondering how the heck to make that happen in the midst of the daily grind.
Life feels like this wild ride, yet it feels monotonous at the same time: wake up, survive the day of balancing all the things, fight for a hot second for this illusive thing magazines keep calling “self care” in the fleeting moments before your eyes shut, and then wake up again the next day and do it all over again…all while feeling a wee bit anxious, a tad bit stressed, and a little…shall we call it…on an auto pilot of lack lusterness?
You might look around and think everyone has their shiitake together and is living life free of worry, and maybe some women are. But I’m not writing to that woman.
I’m writing to the woman who has a pretty ridiculous monologue going on in her head that’s been bullying her for years.
Welcome, friend. You’re in good company with 99.99999999999% of women who have landed on this page.
I’ve invited them to join me in serving up something new and FUN for you! So what have we been cookin’ up for ya, friend?
While I have several avenues through which I do that which you can read about here, my favorite thing to do - whether I’m in a group of close friends, or showing up on the internet for our online tribe is this:
Talk about the hard things we come up against as women and put them out in the open…
…addressing them with truth, a little kick in the pants inspiration, and hopefully with a good amount of shared laughs.
If not, "Hi, I’m Em!"
I’m a meatball burner + a professional hype girl for women.
While I’m sadly no longer able to work 1:1 with entrepreneurs, I offer 4 online courses that are the jam! These online classes will take you from overwhelm to focused, purposeful action that will grow your business, your impact, + your legacy.

If that’s not worth $7.99 to you, I hope that Grande Iced Vanilla Latte at Starbies, that Chick-fil-A #4 meal with Diet Coke, that 3 buck chuck from Trader Joes, or that dress from the Target clearance rack fulfills you.
Okay, that may have been a little harsh, but FRIEND. It’s time to treat your heart and mind health like your life depends on it. Because it does.
I’m going to let that sink in for a moment.
Your life - at least living the type of life you deeply desire to live - absolutely depends on the health of your heart and mind.
And for Pete’s sake it’s time to SPICE UP YOUR LIFE as a famous crew of 5 British gals once said.
I’m not promising a perfect life if you sign up. That would be a total sham.
You will still burn the meatballs. You’ll still chuck Barbie or her scantily clad cousin Skipper at the stove. And you’ll still wrestle with life’s biggest questions.
But maybe…just maybe…you’ll realize that’s all okay. And in the midst of it all, you can be LIVING.
And taking on life fully alive.
While I won’t spoil future months’ themes, know that they came from your input in our surveys. We hear you, and we’re ready to meet you in the mess.
You can cancel your membership at anytime, but know that you won’t want to do that. We’ve got an exciting road ahead of us, and we’re going to drive it together.
What will it look like for a collective group of women to decide to step into their power and live life fully alive?
BUCKLE UP is all I have to say about that!
